Sunrise from Pu`u Mai - February 18, 2012

Another sunrise hike up Koko Crater. Kai joined me for a pre-dawn hike up the tracks to Pu`u Mai and the sunrise.

Kai blazed up the tracks in 17 minutes...while sick! I topped out about an hour from pushing off from the parking lot.

I set up shop and filmed the sunrise.

While filming the sunrise, Kai and I checked out the top of Koko Crater.

The sunrise was beautiful as usual.

After sunrise we checked out the bunker at the top of the tracks.

Kai tried climbing up the ladder, but the vent has collapsed and blocked the ladder.

The rest of the bunker is pretty dirty.

After checking out the bunker we headed back down the tracks.
