I had to be at the Law School at 9:30 am this Saturday, so I wasn't able to do anything really fun. Instead I headed up Koko Crater first thing in the morning for a quick hike to meet the sunrise; another Saturday starting in the dark on a Hawaii Kai trail.
Unfortunately, I was a little later and slower than I wanted and the sun beat me to the summit.
Never the less, it was a beautiful morning on Koko Crater.
At a fire hydrant at the top of the parking lot was covered in these little memorials to the firefighters who died in 9/11/01.
